Yeah, so me and the train thing. I once drove 1500 miles to see the town of North Platte, Nebraska. During World War II, North Platte was a place that every soldier stopped thru via train (6 million in all) and the townspeople ALL pitched in to make a dish, feed them and share a kind word or story. Spend time. The depot was famous. They called it a miracle.
The depot, of course, has been torn down.
But the memory remains.
And that is what I think of when I see trains.
